Dear Ram
You can adopt presumptive taxation under section 40 ADA ( Software Consultancy) and your taxable income from profession shall be @ 50% , that is Rs 10 lacs. The section is applicable up to a Limit of Rs 50 lacs and you are not required to maintain books of accounts
Similarly your Business income is determined @ 8% of revenue( Sales) booked during the year. This section is applicable up to a turnover of Rs 2.00 Cr and you are not required to maintain books of accounts.
Capital Gains are taxable depending upon whether it is short term or long term capital gain. Short Term capital Gains under section 111A is taxable @ 15 % provided STT has been paid and Long Term Capital Gains are tax exempt if the shares are listed and STT has been paid.
You can file a simple ITR 4(SUGAM) for Presumptive Taxation 2016-17, but for Capital Gains , you have to file ITR 3, because this contains requisite field for Presumptive taxation and Capital Gains as well.
Thanks
